The Jo Collection wasn’t born from a lifelong love of skincare. It came from a skincare disaster. In law school, I used a trendy cleansing tool and my skin completely freaked out. Redness, peeling, and eventually burns from a prescription cream. I was overwhelmed, embarrassed, and suddenly afraid of every product I touched. So I turned to what I knew: research. I read clinical studies, took cosmetic formulation courses, and leaned on my family. My mom was a trained cosmetician. My dad is a pharmaceutical chemist with an FDA-compliant manufacturing facility. With their help and wisdom I developed a formula that worked and even brought in international cosmetic experts to help perfect it. That formula became the Pineapple Peel: a gentle, leave-on exfoliator that gave me my skin back. It also became the foundation of our brand philosophy: Cleanse. Treat. Protect. Simple steps. Real results. Jo Collection is named for my mom, Joanne, who passed away before she could see the final product. Her skincare wisdom, my research, and our family’s determination to fix what wasn’t working are behind everything we create. We believe in science, not stress. In skin that feels good, not overworked. And in routines that are actually doable. Consistency is what changes skin. And we’ve made consistency easy.
